Residential Facilitators

Residential Facilitators work with our Residential Services consumers, who generally require more intensive care than our Hourly consumers. Residential Facilitators are responsible for making sure the day-to-day needs of their assigned consumers are met.

Residential Facilitators are a part of their consumer's Individual Service Plan (ISP) team, and the most direct contact with the consumer. They serve as a link between the consumer and the Service Coordinator, and provide input about what the ISP team needs to know.

Residential Facilitators must demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills to act as a role model for both direct care staff and the consumers.

Basic Requirements

High School Degree or its equivalent.

Patience in working with disabled adults is necessary; needs to have a caring attitude and be supportive and encouraging to consumers.

Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with consumers and staff.

A driving record that qualifies you to drive agency vehicles is required; sufficient automobile insurance to qualify you to transport consumers in your personal vehicle is preferred.

Knowledge of how to operate typical household appliances, including a stove, microwave, dishwasher, etc. is preferred. Training for specialized adaptive equipment for individual consumers will be provided.

Must be willing and able to assist with all activities of daily living, including toileting, as required. Ability to lift at least 50 lbs is preferable.
